Clausen House, the Greater Oakland Area’s premier service provider for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, is holding a special 50th Anniversary Art Show in conjunction with Grand Avenue’s First Thursday, on Thursday, September 7, 2017, from 6:00-8:00pm at the organization’s Community Center, 650 Grand Avenue in Oakland.
The displays will feature paintings (oil, acrylic and watercolor), sculptures and an entire section of fantastic urban art and handcrafts that includes jewelry, glassware, scarves, cards and decorated pots and plants. Clausen House is also publishing a limited edition 50th Anniversary Calendar to commemorate the occasion.
All of the art on display will be available for purchase. In addition, Clausen House will hold a silent auction and raffle to raise funds for the organization’s art program and other essential programming for this underserved population. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
